Disney, in its cruise modality, prepares another magical surprise. The Company gives its passengers the chance to see Italy and southern Europe from different angles than usual.
The Italian port of Civitavecchia, near Rome, will be the starting point of the new route of this creative company in the summer of 2019. A statement from the Disney Company disclosed that the first voyage is set for sail on June 14 with stops in Italy, France, and Spain.
According to the announcement guests will be able to visit Salerno, on Italy’s Amalfi Coast; La Spezia, a common launch point for visiting the picturesque towns of Cinque Terre; Villefranche-sur-Mer and Marseilles, on the French Riviera; and Spain’s vibrant beach city of Barcelona.
The company explained that its Rome-based cruise is just one of seven new cruise routes that has to offer in Europe. The others are Cartagena, Spain; Toulon (Provence) and Brest, France; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Gothenburg and Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden; and Fredericia, Denmark, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Other Disney routes especially dedicated to Americans are popular destinations in Alaska, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
Disney Cruise Line subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company was incorporated in 1996 as Magical Cruise Company Limited. Currently operates four ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy. It also owns Castaway Cay, a private island in the Bahamas designed as an exclusive port of call for Disney’s ships.
